History

Africa Morocco Link (AML) is a ferry company established in 2016 through a partnership between BMCE Bank of Africa Group and Attica Group, one of Greece’s leading maritime operators. Its mission is to reinforce maritime connections between Europe and Africa, with a particular focus on linking Morocco and Spain.

Headquartered in Tangier and operating a modern fleet of ferries, AML primarily serves the route between the Moroccan port of Tangier Med and the Spanish port of Algeciras—one of the busiest crossings in the Strait of Gibraltar. The company caters to both passengers and the transport of vehicles and cargo.

Since its inception, AML has aimed to deliver a comfortable and efficient travel experience, combining international safety standards with a strong commitment to the economic and social development of the region. It also works toward environmentally responsible operations in line with today’s sustainability challenges.

In just a few years, AML has become a key player in maritime transport across the Strait, serving as a strategic bridge between Africa and Europe.
