Balearia Takes Over the Málaga–Melilla Route

The new Baleària route between Málaga and Melilla will be operated by the Rusadir ferry, with a minimum frequency of six weekly rotations starting in January 2025. The vessel has a capacity for at least 450 passengers and 250 vehicles, and offers services including cabins, pet-friendly areas, free Wi-Fi, and a space for transporting hazardous goods. Additional safety and emission control features have also been implemented to comply with European regulations.

Route Details

The new Baleària connection between Málaga and Melilla will be run by the company, which already has extensive experience in maritime routes. This route will offer greater frequency and comfort for travelers, enhancing the service’s competitiveness and the efficiency of freight transport.
